The right time can depend on many factors we usually sum it up into three main ones.
It’s also important to ensure you book a painter in Halifax early in the season as schedules become more busy in the early spring.
Of course! If you are curious about the costs of a project or want us to come look at something just give us a call or fill out the form for a no-obligation painting quote.
Estimates generally take about an hour to walk through discussing what needs to be done, then within 24 hours you’ll have a written interior painting quote in hand.
Choosing the best type of paint for your painting project all depends on what you want as a finish. There are different finishes available for both paints and stains. This includes solid hide or semi transparent for stains, and for paints there are flat, satin, semi-gloss, and high gloss available. We typically like to use Dulux paints but have experience with every major brand.
We can help! Sanford’s can give you advice about what is trending for painting projects and what paint colour and trim would look good on your style of home.
If you already have a paint colour or brand in mind we can help match it.
The first thing we do to prep the paint surface with a eco-friendly wash if needed, then we proceed to scraping. Once the scraping is complete we power sand all the bare areas to help get rid of the ridges.
We remove and replace all storm windows, and caulk any seams with flex 9000 to ensure a sealed surface.
After scraping, sanding and caulking, we use a heavy duty oil based primer to seal the surfaces and then proceed with either one or two coats of paint working from the top down to the bottom.
Of course! We ensure our customers are protected throughout the entire project.
All of our employees are certified to work from heights and to safely use our products and equipment. If your project requires confined space certification, our industrial team will reach out to you for specifics.
